Knitted Hanger
Nana's hanger: The persistence of memory
My grandmother crocheted a lot of things for me before she died. I wish I could find the inchworm bookmark, or the small ruffled chair she made from an empty tuna fish can.
All I have left are some of these hangers. I think of my grandmother almost every day, and I really feel like she is present when I look at my hangers. I wish I had asked her to teach me how to crochet.
